In the pilot episode, computer nerd Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi) is drawn into shadowy global espionage when subliminal government secrets are downloaded into his brain. He soon attracts the attention of a CIA superspy (Yvonne Strahovski) and a hardened NSA agent (Adam Baldwin).
Chuck recalls the good times at Stanford, when he met his last girlfriend Jill. She took off with Bryce, who also got Chuck kicked out of school. Chuck still isn’t over it, despite Ellie’s urging that it’s beyond time to move on. Meanwhile, Bryce is chased by G-men, and is finally shot down by Major John Casey of the NSA. In the moment before death, Bryce emails the encoded security secrets to Chuck, as his PDA smokes and dies.
